Lifelong Learning Week 2022 - The "Forgotten" of Digitalisation
As part of the 2022 Lifelong Learning Week, the European Association for the Education of Adults is organising an event called "The 'Forgotten' of Digitalisation". A recent survey from Lire et Écrire highlights that adults who struggle with reading and writing in Belgium are especially at risk of exclusion and combined with the increasing digitalisation of public services makes it even more challenging for them to participate in society.
This event aims to explore advocacy campaigns and inclusive teaching practices that bring to light the voices of those often left behind in the debate about the digital transition. Additionally, helpful tools for adult educators to use to support learners and help them achieve their goals will be presented. A networking reception will be held after the speeches.
Speakers for this event include:
- Veronique De Leener, Director at Maks vzw
- Louise Culot, European policies and Research, Lire et Écrire
- Jon. Harding, Vice President of the Lifelong Learning Platform
- Tina Mavrič, Project coordinator, European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA)
