To help businesses on the digital transformation path, Slovenia has developed, in cooperation with partners, a Digital Competences and Skills Self-Assessment Tool which aims to:

  • employees to see where they need to complete their competences and skills;
  • employees to be able to strategically make a plan for further competence development
  • and also to facilitate the design (at least in part of digital competences) of job calls.

Based on an assessment of the state of digital competences and skills, employees receive a report and a training plan covering the next five years, enabling them to systematically upgrade their competences. The tool provides you with a curriculum for the next 5 years, which includes an assessment, a timetable and a description of the competencies.

The evaluation process shall be conducted online. First, the company and employees register in the system. In the case of the Digital Competence and Skills Assessment Tool, the responsible person in the company assigns a business role to employees and the evaluation questionnaires they want to answer. The employee then carries out a self-assessment of competences and skills. Finally, the Self-Assessment Tool creates a training plan for the next 5 years based on the self-assessment results. The training plan is exported as a document and includes an assessment, timing and description of competences and skills.

Completion takes about one hour. It is recommended that participants respond frankly, as the results are intended for their own assessment and improvement. The tool also offers the possibility to save answers, so you can answer the questions in separate time slots.

      Make an assessment of digital competences and skills

The tool is designed for companies and their employees, primarily micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which can be used by anyone.

We will build on the Digital Competences and Skills Self-Assessment Tool in the future, in cooperation with other stakeholders, with additional profiles and the Digital Maturity Assessment Tool with content related to the twin transition (green + digital).
