All the finalists of the European Digital Skills Awards 2023 Created byEleonora Censorii|Updated23 July 2024It’s the time to discover all the finalist projects of the 2023 edition of the European Digital Skills Awards! This year’s edition was very popular and we received 330 applications, the highest number since the creation of the Awards in 2016. Also the quality of the applications has been exceptional: so much that it was a tough task to select only 5 per category – and this is the reason why, in some categories, you will find more than 5 projects. The pre-selection of the finalist applications was carried out by the Digital Skills and Jobs Platform team, while the 5 jury members of this year’s edition picked the winners. Veronica Stefan, Stefano Kluzer, Alice Bougneres, Keith Quille and Juliane von Reppert-Bismarck had the difficult task of evaluating the finalist applications and choose the best projects in digital skills in Europe for 2023 What is certain is that the picture that came out of this year’s edition of the Awards is that the EU is a lively and busy place when it comes to digital skills! From teaching basic digital competences to those most in need, from the elderly population to refugees, to the crucial topic of digital upskilling in all professional sectors, including advanced technologies such as AI, Blockchain, Cybersecurity and much more, the 330 projects that sent their candidature for the EDSA2023 are all together doing their best – and successfully – to help Europeans get in “digital shape”.Without further ado, we would like to announce the finalists of the EDSA23: Empowering Youth in DigitalSolve for Tomorrow (Poland and Romania) Powered by Samsung Electronics România and Samsung Electronics PolskaBayCode ReDi School of Digital Integration (Germany)UNBreakable Romania Bit Sentinel Security (Romania)Empower Girls’ Creativity Through Use of Digital Technologies (SparkDigiGirls) (Lithuania)ubbu - Learn how to Code (Portugal)Social Warning Social Warning - Movimento Etico Digitale ASD (Italy)Empleando Digital + Fundación Secretariado Gitano (Spain)Digital Upskilling @ Work GEIGER - Cybersecurity Solution for Micro- and Small Enterprises Pädagogische Hochschule Freiburg (University of Education Freiburg – Project leader - Education)Switzerland, Netherlands, Romania, Germany, France, Spain, Israel, Italy, Belgium, UK.FutureLab50+ JobOn (Netherlands)Teach for Future National Association for public libraries and librarians (Romania)Osakidetza - Creation of a Methodology for Digital Competency Management for Healthcare Professionals Spain Master on AI for public services (AI4Gov) Universidad Politécnica de Madrid – Project Leader (Spain)Spain, Italy, Estonia, Germany.Digital Skills for Education GIP Pix - Assessment, development and certification of students and teachers’ digital skills with Pix France, Belgium, Spain, Denmark, Switzerland, other non EU countriesCyber Fairy Tales Centrum kybernetické bezpečnosti, z.ú.
