Apply to join a new expert group on guidelines for teaching informatics

Are you enthusiastic about the potential of informatics education? Do you believe in equipping learners not only with the ability to use digital technologies but also with the skills to understand and create with them? The European Commission invites all curriculum developers, educators, and experts in informatics education across diverse sectors to participate in the Commission's expert group for the development of guidelines on teaching informatics.
Objectives of the expert group
The expert group is a direct follow-up of the Council's Recommendation on improving the provision of digital skills and competences in education and training. In particular, the expert group will play a vital role in:
Developing guidelines to empower teachers with pedagogical expertise in informatics.
Articulating a coherent understanding of informatics education for both learners and educators.
Identifying and addressing common challenges encountered by education systems in delivering informatics education effectively.
The result of the work of the expert group will contribute to the development of guidelines and quality requirements on informatics, as welcomed in the Council Recommendation by the Member States.
