Latvian partners share ideas for Digital Week 2024
Latvia is actively preparing for the annual campaign Digital Week 2024 and this year it will be held for the 15th time at the national level! On April 18, more than 50 Digital Week partners came together to share ideas and practical information about the planned activities from May 13 to 18.
The Digital Week in Latvia is organized as part of the ALL Digital Weeks 2024 (#ADWeeks2024). The campaign actions will be underpinned under the motto ’’Enhance your digital skills’’ which is a call to action for all European citizens and every individual living in Europe to learn new skills, both basic and advanced, to be able to face digital transformation with confidence.
The main partners of Digital Week together with the Latvian Information and Communication Technology Association (LIKTA) are DocLogix, the Latvia State Radio and Television Centre, Tet, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development, and the Ministry of Education and Science, the Culture Information Systems Centre. All together more than 100 partners have already been involved in the organization of activities. The digital map is available here.
The seminar was attended by representatives from ministries and state institutions, municipalities, libraries, ICT industry companies and non-governmental organizations. In various online and face-to-face events, every citizen - entrepreneurs, employees of state and local government institutions, representatives of the education field, students, children, parents, seniors, etc. are invited to improve digital skills, to use digital technologies and services more actively, while paying attention to digital identity, security and critical thinking.
This year’s Digital Week will host the following thematic days:
- 13 May – Digital skills and artificial intelligence
- 14 May – Digital services and skills for citizens
- 15 May – Digital skills and solutions for entrepreneurs
- 16 May – Cybersecurity Day
- 17 May – Digital skills in education
- 18 May – Digital Museum Day
