As part of Generation Next, the Vodafone Foundation’s digital skills development educational program, which provides free access to new technologies and science to all, the new cycle of the Educational Curriculum aimed at secondary school teachers is launched. The new STEM course, like the previous one, is conducted under the scientific supervision of the Hellenic Open University (HOP).

The Educational Curriculum provides free of charge the opportunity for teachers who wish to upgrade their knowledge and become familiar with digital tools. The aim of the programme is to enable them to capitalise on the most modern approaches of STEAM and STEM education by combining the scientific fields of Science (S), Technology (T), Engineering (E), Arts (A) and Mathematics (M).

The duration of the program is 130 hours (13 weeks) and the educational material provided has been designed in collaboration with the DAISSy team of the Hellenic Open University (HOU), the educational non-profit organisation Communication Science (SciCo) and Greek-German Education. Upon successful completion of the Educational Programme, trainees receive certification, as well as 5.2 ECTS credits.

Generation Next’s Educational Program creates an additional bridge of communication between teachers and students, transforming the former into teachers of the future, able to inspire and introduce today’s students to the necessary digital, horizontal and green skills of the 21st century.
