Bring Learning to the Next Dimension: Design Your Educational Material and Implement It into the MASTER Platform

Context
MASTER, a project funded by the European Union under the Horizon Europe Programme, has launched its Second Open Call to provide a unique funding opportunity for educational institutions and SMEs to co-develop and validate innovative Extended Reality (XR) learning experiences in the field of robotics. Selected participants will contribute to the enhancement of the MASTER XR platform through real-world deployment and educational content creation.
Applicants must demonstrate how their solution adds value to the MASTER ecosystem by:
- Validating cutting-edge XR technology with students in schools or professional training settings.
- Creating innovative educational content for integration into the MASTER platform.
- Gaining technical, educational, and business mentoring from the MASTER consortium.
Who can apply
- Educational institutionsthat can involve students in the testing of XR applications
- SMEs
- or large companies (voluntarily as challenge providers only)
Organisations must be based in EU Member States(including Overseas Countries and Territories), and Horizon Europe associated countries.
Funding
- Funding per application: up to 100,000 EUR
- Total call budget: 2,400,400 EUR
Co-funding rates
- 100% for educational institutions (non-profit organisations)
- 70% for SMEs
- 0% large for-profit companies/ organisations
Microconsortium Composition
- At least 1 non-profit educational institution
- The coordinator must be a non-profit educational institution
Timeline
- Call deadline: 12 June 2025
- Evaluation results: 13 June – 31 July 2025
- Contract Preparation: 18 July – 31 August 2025
- Execution Period: 1 September 2025 – 31 May 2026
