Blockchain challenges and issues with Dublin City University (DCU) - DigiAdvance

‘Blockchain challenges and issues’ is a DigiAdvance course developed by Dublin City University. DigiAdvance aims to address digital skills gaps in the SME sector through the provision of low-cost, demand-driven, tailored training in key digital technologies for SME owners, managers and employees. This course is one of a number of flexible short-form courses offered by this project, which is co-funded by the EU. 

This course analyses technical challenges in blockchain, such as scalability and transaction speed. It explores research on improving speed and scalability without compromising security and examines blockchain interoperability solutions and initiatives. Additionally, the course addresses issues like energy consumption and talent shortages in the industry.

DigiAdvance courses aim to advance the knowledge and skills of SME leaders, managers, employees and job seekers in key digital technologies. This short course is fully online and asynchronous. Participants receive a certificate of achievement at the end of the course. Students may register for the course any time from February 17th to July 1st 2025.
