CYBERWISER.eu Basic is an intermediate course offered by CYBERWISER.eu, targeting those with some understanding of essential cybersecurity concepts. The course is mainly designed for people working in small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), research centres, public sector organisations and large companies, at the level of employees and management.
CYBERWISER Basic is part of the wider CYBERWISER.eu initiative, which puts forward an educational programme, targeting businesses and workforce on all levels, from those with no digital knowledge to cybersecurity professionals in the field.
The Basic course is the second module in the programme and provides an opportunity for learners to understand what jobs exist within the cybersecurity sector. Learners are further encouraged to build on their cybersecurity awareness to understand more advanced concepts such as context establishment or expert cyber risk assessment.
Learning activities are focused around several core topics, aiming to foster knowledge, such as:
- Understanding how to deal with the most common cybersecurity risks and threats, such as phishing, password weakness, ransomware, or data leakage.
- Knowledge on how to identify threats and high-level risks in a business setting, including risk identification in general.
- Understanding of context establishment and testing and training of scenarios.
At the end of the course students receive a CYBERWISER.eu Basic Diploma and they will be automatically included in the CYBERWISER.eu Cybersecurity Professional Register (CyPR).
