An introduction to Blockchain and Smart Contract Programming for all
An Introduction to Blockchain and Smart Contract Programming for All 2.0 is part of eSkills Malta Foundation's Digital Skills Bootcamp programme, which aims to improve both basic and advanced digital skills in Malta, as well as expanding the range of coding or coding-related activities that foster digital skills. For this, the foundation contracted several training providers to provide free sessions on digital education to everyone.
The free online course 'An Introduction to Blockchain and Smart Contract Programming for All 2.0', designed by Gordon Pace, targets younger people, but also adults across age groups, aiming to make the topic of emerging technologies more understandable, with the aim of fostering knowledge and skills sought in the labour market. Participants in this course will have an opportunity to delve into the topic of blockchain in a variety of ways: they will go through essential terminology such as DLT (Distributed Ledger Technology) and upon successful completion, will be able to define what smart contracts are - and how to interact with them. The course also zooms onto another key topic in today's context: cryptocurrency. Learners will therefore understand how to make use of cryptocurrency and tokens in the context of smart contracts, using the digital currency Ethereum as a case study.
The course is delivered entirely online, organised in 7 sessions.
