Introduction to Statistics & Data Literacy (DigiAdvance & Dublin City University)

‘Introduction to Statistics & Data Literacy’ is a DigiAdvance course developed by Dublin City University. DigiAdvance aims to address digital skills gaps in the SME sector through the provision of low-cost, demand-driven, tailored training in key digital technologies for SME owners, managers and employees. This course is one of a number of flexible short-form courses offered by this project, which is co-funded by the EU.
About this course
This DigiAdvance course by DCU explores fundamental statistical concepts and key principles of data literacy. It examines hypothesis testing, correlation analysis, and predictive techniques to establish a strong theoretical foundation. Additionally, this course explores different data types, metadata, and data collection methods and sources.

DigiAdvance courses aim to advance the knowledge and skills of SME leaders, managers, employees and job seekers in key digital technologies.
This short course is fully online and asynchronous. Participants receive a certificate of achievement at the end of the course. Students may register for the course any time from March to July 1st 2025. With 8 learning hours in total, the course comes for a fee of €180.
