Neural Networks with Dublin City University (DCU) - DigiAdvance

‘Neural Networks’ is a DigiAdvance course developed by Dublin City University. DigiAdvance aims to address digital skills gaps in the SME sector through the provision of low-cost, demand-driven, tailored training in key digital technologies for SME owners, managers and employees. This course is one of a number of flexible short-form courses offered by DigiAdvance, a project co-funded by the EU.
Neural networks are one of the most exciting approaches to machine learning currently available to practitioners. Learn how simple computational units coarsely modelled on the neurons in biological brains can give rise to superhuman levels of recognition and performance in a wide variety of machine learning tasks.
Topics covered include:
- The history and features of machine learning
- Neural pathways and neural networks
- Solving XOR with a neural network
- Encoding features via neural networks
DigiAdvance courses aim to advance the knowledge and skills of SME leaders, managers, employees and job seekers in key digital technologies. This short course is fully online and asynchronous. Participants receive a certificate of achievement at the end of the course. Students may register for the course any time from February 17th to July 1st 2025.
Learning hours for this course: 4
Course fee: €180.
