European Federation for Welding, Joining and Cutting (EWF)

The European Federation for Welding, Joining and Cutting (EWF) manages International Systems for Training, Qualification and Certification for manufacturing areas of both personnel and companies in Quality, Environment, Health and Safety.

EWF acts as the representative of the welding and joining community in Europe. It prepares harmonised rules for the education and training of personnel involved in welding, joining and related technologies. EWF, along with its member organizations, pioneered the development of an internationally harmonized system for education, training, and qualification in the realm of joining technologies and additive manufacturing. This groundbreaking initiative marked the first instance of a harmonized system that encompassed all European countries, addressing personnel qualification across various levels in welding, related technologies, and inspection.
