The University of Jyväskylä in Finland is a research university with 14.000 students. Founded in 1863, the university has a strong focus on adult education, and offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, teacher training programmes and over 120 subject area disciplines. The University has 6 Faculties: Humanities and Social Sciences, Information Technology, Education and Psychology, Sport and Health Sciences, Mathematics and Science, and the Jyväskylä University School of Business and Economics. 

The University is famous for its Summer School Programme: the Jyväskylä Summer School in Human Sciences comprises interdisciplinary courses for undergraduate and/or graduate students interested in art and culture studies, education, sport and health sciences, psychology, communication, social sciences and philosophy or related fields.
