Free coding sessions during EU Codeweek 2022
This year's EU CodeWeek will take place from October 8 through 23. CodeWeek is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year. For several years the eSkills Malta Foundation has supported this pan-European initiative with considerable success. Malta has consistently finished first or second in most events per capita since 2017. The Foundation works hard to keep up its stellar track record.
The Foundation is always looking for new stakeholders to engage in CodeWeek, it collaborated with the Foundation of Educational Services to provide coding sessions at 30 SkolaSajf Centers across Malta through Data Science Malta. These sessions, which are a part of this year's EU CodeWeek, were a resounding success.
The number of EU CodeWeek Tutors offering free coding lessons during CodeWeek this year set a new high. MCAST is once again at the forefront by offering IT students and alumni who will also be delivering free coding courses on topics like Using WordPress to Develop a Web site to Introduction to PHP and Programming Concepts with Java.
Once again this year, Senglea Local Council and Senglea Primary School came up with a creative plan to host a coding workshop for their grandparents during CodeWeek. This fantastic proposal, which aligns with the Foundation's mission to introduce coding to everyone, has our full support.
One cannot mention EU CodeWeek without accrediting government and Church Schools, who form an integral part of Malta’s annual success during CodeWeek!
