Gymnazium of Vincenc Makovsky has been the organizer of the National Conference Computer at School since 2003. The Conference Computer at school is s a good place for meeting and discussing educators for whom working with students is more than just a "profession".

Why is this a good practice

The conference regularly brings together around 200 participants, mainly from primary and secondary schools, but also from commercial companies and not-for-profit organisations, to promote the idea of effective use of digital technologies in education.

The three-day programme includes almost 100 presentations in the form of lectures and workshops. Participants are mostly teachers, applying to present their practical work (approximately 70%), and commercial firm’s to showcase their technical solutions for education (approximately 30%).

The conference is open to all those interested to speak. Educators can present examples of good practices in using digital technologies in teaching, give visibility to their school and exchange with their colleagues from other schools. Companies can demonstrate the use of their products in teaching processes, as well as in managing technology in schools.
