The Czech Cyber Security Centre: A model for digital well-being in the EU

ALL DIGITAL WEEKS campaign aims to support the development of digital skills for Europeans of all ages, as well as accessibility and bridging the digital divide across target groups.
During the final online event of the ALL DIGITAL WEEKS campaign 2025, 5 inspiring digital education actors in Europe were also announced, resulting from the nominations of all participating states, which sent over 50 nominations in a total of 23 states. All 5 nominees received, among other things, a financial contribution to participate in the ALL DIGITAL conference, which will take place in Malta in September.
The EU categories of inspiration were Access to Digital, Digital Upskilling, AI & Emerging Technologies, Digital Well-being and Digital Policies. Portfolio of activities of the Czech non-profit organization Cyber Security Centre, which every year culminates in the National Finals of the Cyber Competition, won this year the main nomination in the category of digital wellbeing. The coordinator of activities and Cyber Security Centre Petr Jirásek presented the project and activities at the final online event for the entire campaign.
Why is this a good practice?
It is worth pointing out that Mr. Jirásek managed to connect 40 partners this year, who offered continuous support for the competition and supported the program of the conference for the general public on the educational and professional program during the announcement of the CYBER COMPETITION awards on 10 April in Brno, but also helped to appreciate young talents, pupils and students of elementary and secondary schools. The best of them will represent the Czech Republic at the EUROPEAN CYBERSECURITY CHALLENGE, which will take place in Poland in October this year.
The Czech Cyber Security Centre's success comes from its ability to gain recognition, build strong partnerships, and create a comprehensive, youth-focused program that promotes digital well-being and cybersecurity skills.
EPMA and the Unity of School Informatics were the national coordinators for the Czech Republic this year. The activities of the Cyber Security Centre, the informal Google Education Group (DIGIDAY) and EPMA (SchoolARtGallery) were sent to a narrower nomination for a group of 50 inspiring projects for the Czech Republic.
