Czechia - National Coalition for Digital Skills and Jobs
The Czech National Coalition for Digital Skills and Jobs (DigiKoalice) is a common platform of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and the National Pedagogical Institute of the Czech Republic. As such, the major focus of the Coalition is on education as the necessary base for the development of digital skills across society. National and regional representatives of academia, education sectors, industry, the public service, the non-profit sector are invited to participate with valuable contributions to ensure that the country joins in the European efforts to leverage the rewards of digitization.
National coalition details
The main goal of DigiKoalice is to support the development of digital literacy of Czech citizens. The major focus is on digital education. The priorities include:
- Connecting schools and the IT sector.
- Inspiring schools and IT companies for cooperation.
- Supporting the dialogue among the major stakeholders in digital education.
DigiKoalice is an open platform of representatives of public institutions, private companies, information and communication technology (ICT) sector, educational institutions, academic assemblies, non-profit organizations, statutory authorities of schools, and other entities. It unites over 200 organizations.
The founding Members of DigiKoalice are the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports,the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic,the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Industry and Tradeand the representatives of ICT sector.
