About this initiative
Designed by Asociatiei E-Civis, the project aims to strengthen democratic values on national and international level, especially through the use of new technologies.
RoboHub is a space for promoting programming and robotics, It is open to everyone who wants to learn, starting from ages 6-7 - there is no upper age limit. The courses are not for profit and free of charge. The association also offers subsidised courses to children with social families or families with income less than 4.000 RON per month.
Why is this a good practice?
The initiative has been implemented in 26 schools across 5 counties. Over 500 children have already taken part in RoboHub, and a variety of resources suitable for classroom teaching of ICT are also available. The initiative is scalable, with the potential of being replicated in other contexts and target groups.
RoboHub AI literacy classes are highly practical. They provide teachers with concrete strategies and best practices for integrating generative AI and other emerging technologies into their teaching processes. This includes exploring various AI-powered tools and applications that can enhance classroom engagement, personalize learning experiences and streamline administrative tasks.
Ultimately, RoboHub's AI literacy classes represent a significant step forward in preparing educators for the future of teaching. By providing a thorough understanding of generative AI's functionality, addressing its risks and offering practical integration techniques, RoboHub is helping to ensure that teachers are well-equipped to harness the power of AI in their classrooms.
