Talents du numérique (Digital Talents) is a non-profit association bringing together higher education institutions and digital companies grouped within the Cigref, Cinov Digital and Syntec Digital unions/networks. The website offers a map (database) of member institutions and schools providing training courses, diplomas and vocational training in a variety of digital professions. The main stakeholders behind the initiatives comprise of the French Ministry of Education, Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, ONISEP, RIS, INRIA (the National Institute for Research in Digital Science and Technology), MIAGE, Femmes numérique, IESF (International Esports Federation), Fondation Cgénial, EdTech, CPU (Conference of University Presidents), CGE, CDEFI, Digital-Drome-Ardèche, Campus Channel, and Opco Atlas

The association has several functions, namely:

  • Providing general information on digital professions and training in a future-oriented context.
  • Promoting scientific and technical training in digital professions for younger people and those with no technical background.
  • Enhancing cooperation between different training actors on a national level and digital skills employers.
  • Producing recommendations, which can be adapted and integrated by training institutions and businesses.
  • Promoting the involvement of women in digital training, with specific focus on professions where women are under-represented.

Talents du Numérique focuses on most key areas in emerging technologies, including: Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), cybersecurity, blockchain, robotics, HPC (high performance computing), cloud computing, as well as more general software and web development skills. The organisation's previous name (prior to 2018) was Pasc@line Association. On the current website, interested participants can also find many success stories and testimonials on the intersection of digital skills, technology, and employment.

Talents du Numérique has achieved considerable results since its launch: with 60,000 recruitments in 2018, more than 90% of students managed to secure employment within one year of obtaining a diploma. Since September 2017, the association has co-piloted one of the working groups of the French Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition. The association was one of the signatories of the government’s digital diversity sector plan (January 2017) and succeeded in raising overall employment in the French digital sector with 6-10% depending on specific regions. Today, the initiative brings together a network of 70 digital training providers and higher education institutions and more than 2,500 digital companies. Through its wide network of stakeholders, Talents du Numérique covers a variety of fields in education, training and digital technology, offers an easy-to-navigate website and promotes closer engagement between one partner to another.
