Implementation of the NERDVET Educational Toolkit
Background
The Erasmus+ KA3 “NERDVET - THINK SMART! ENHANCING CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS & MEDIA LITERACY IN VET” project has as one of its core objectives the development, testing and fine-tuning of an Educational Toolkit to support teachers in improving critical thinking and media literacy in iVET students.

Our initiative
The Educational Toolkit represents a unique and action-oriented training model developed by the NERDVET partnership to address gaps and challenges concerning students’ capacity to think and behave critically, being able to identify and manage fake news, biases, and irrational beliefs.
The NERDVET pilot action is aimed to test the Educational Toolkit designed by the partnership in the previous phases of the project by
implementing it during training activities,
examining the achieved impact
evaluating its overall efficacy.
The piloting actions are carried out by five VET providers from the countries represented in the project (American Farm School - Perrotis College in Greece, ENAIP NET in Italy, Centro San Viator in Spain, Inovinter in Portugal, and VONK in the Netherlands), with the following expected results:
at least 30 trainers involved overall
at least 150 students involved overall
at least 5 role models involved overall
implement the developed training techniques, practical exercises and video tutorials (composing the NERDVET Educational Toolkit) in real classroom environments
gather insights on the integration of the training in VET curricula from the grassroots level, which will contribute to ensuring the transferability and sustainability of the model
collect feedback from the learners and trainers on the efficacy of the instruments offered by the Toolkit
