DOREA workshop Cybersecurity and Phishing Attacks
CyberPhish is organising a workshop taking place in The Base by CyprusInno, 23 Markou Drakou on October 15 from 12:00 to 3:00 pm.
The CyberPhish project is a European project focused on raising awareness about cybersecurity and as part of this project, the DOREA Educational Institute is organising a workshop for students, teachers, employees, and the general public interested in learning how to protect themselves from cyber-attacks and scams.
Phishing is a significant issue for many as cybercriminals use faster and innovative tools to carry out phishing campaigns. While this is an issue for many, human-driven phishing defence systems can be developed through education to be able to identify and respond to phishing attacks in the correct manner.
During this workshop, participants will learn about cybersecurity and the different types of phishing. Additionally, they will learn about Social Engineering and practise recognising phishing attempts and scams and how to defend themselves from cybersecurity attacks. At the end of this workshop, participants will have gained both a theoretical and practical understanding of cybersecurity and phishing.
