The NEIA aims to position Europe at the forefront of deep tech innovation and start-ups in this new wave. The event will focus on the role of the EU and national governments in fostering innovation to help businesses thrive and create jobs.The NEIA's significance increases in light of the current high inflation and economic risks. As a result, investments to fuel digital transformation become more important than ever. While small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) represent 99% of all businesses, employ around 75% of the workforce, and account for 50% of GDP, they also trail behind in digital transformation. Speakers at the event include Ivan Stefanec MEP, President of SME Europe, and Magda De Carli, Deputy Director/Head of Unit 'European Semester & Country Intelligence,' DG RTD, European Commission. Additionally, Philippe Huberdeau, Secretary General, Scale-Up Europe at Elysée; Andrea Gumina, Senior Policy Advisor on FDI, Italian Ministry of Companies and Made in Italy, and Fabrizio Porrino, EMEA Head of Government Relations, ServiceNow, will share their insights on the topic.
