Online conference: Towards an effective and fair digital education ecosystem

International conference organised by the OECD Centre for Educational Research and Innovation (CERI), 13-14 December 2023.
The global digital transformation continues to shape the educational landscape, offering improved classroom learning methods, streamlined education management systems and innovative delivery models. In the aftermath of the rapid adjustments required by the COVID-19 pandemic, the ongoing evolution of digital education has become even more important. As we move towards 2024, reassessing and strengthening digital learning infrastructure is of utmost importance, including equipping trainers with the necessary tools and skills to manage the strong presence of AI. This online conference will discuss the state of play and findings of the OECD Digital Expo 2023: Towards an effective digital ecosystem as well as another related report: Digital education infrastructure and governance in countries: accompanying Digital Education Report 2023.
This year’s OECD Digital Education Conference will emphasise the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital management and educational platforms in education. The fully online conference is designed to foster pervasive discussions among policy makers, education stakeholders, experts and developers. The conference aims to help participants shape their vision in the digital transformation of education, understanding both opportunities and challenges, as well as discussing countries’ digital education policies and orientations – but also the opportunities, guidelines and safeguards of the OECD and EI for fair and effective AI in education.
