Shaping the Future of Immersive Learning in a Metaverse and AI World

The UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education organises on 23 February a webinar on "Shaping the Future of Immersive Learning in a Metaverse and AI World", as part of the collaboration between UNESCO IITE and the Shanghai Open University (SOU).

This talk will explore the rapidly changing landscape of education in the age of the metaverse and artificial intelligence. From virtual environments, immersive simulations, and AI-powered applications such as ChatGPT and Dall-E to the metaverse, the talk will highlight examples of how the convergence of these technologies creates innovative learning experiences and environments. It will also review the challenges and ethical considerations that arise with the rapid development of generative AI and open social worlds in the emerging concept of the metaverse.
