Already 4171 SME employees in Latvia have increased their digital skills with the support of EU funds
The Latvian Information and Communication Technology Association (LIKTA) invites small and micro-enterprises (SMEs), as well as self-employed workers, to participate in the training project titled 'Training Small and Micro-Entrepreneurs for the Development of Innovation and Digital Technologies in Latvia' (Project No. 1.2.2.3/16/I/002). This project is being implemented in collaboration with the Central Finance and Contracts Agency (CFLA) until 31 December.
Between the initiation of the project and 1 October 2023, 4171 employees in SMEs have enhanced their digital skills through funding provided by the European Union. The most popular courses in the latter half of the year included 'Home Search Enhancements with SEO Technologies', 'ICT Solutions for Financial Management Decision', 'Computerized Accounting', 'Facebook Opportunities for Business Promotion', 'Instagram Platform for Business Promotion – Expert Course', 'Preparation of VAT declaration and Grouping of Activities in Jumis', and others. Additionally, in 2023, participants can enroll in four new courses: 'Instagram Platform for Business Promotion – Expert Course', 'Digitalized Staff Management under the Jumis HR Program', '3D Basics for Design with Trimble SketchUp Pro', and 'Preparation of VAT declaration and Grouping of Activities in Jumis '.

The project is ongoing under the activities of the European Union Regional Development Fund 1.2.2.3. “Support for ICT and non-technological training as well as training to facilitate investor engagement”. The primary goal of the project is to promote innovation awareness among economic entities and enhance the skills of workers in SMEs and self-employed individuals. This initiative aims to facilitate the adoption of technological innovations, thereby improving work efficiency and productivity.
