HCAIM – Future AI

HCAIM – Future AI

The HCAIM (Human-Centered AI Master) programme includes learning materials on the future of AI and machine learning as part of Evaluation (Module C), focusing on the level of adoption of AI in different industries and how AI is adapted for different domains.

The Technical Focus lesson plan on Future AI combines theoretical lectures, practical exercises and interactive sessions. The Focus opens with an introductory lecture on the resurgence of AI and Machine Learning and a brief overview of the Future of AI. Key areas subsequently covered are Explainable and Privacy Preserving Machine Learning, and Trust, Normativity and Model Drift in the context of AI.

Additionally, the programme explores semi-supervised and unsupervised learning, generative models, and federated learning. After a discussion-based study on Trust Models and Trust Quantification, the focus moves towards the philosophical and ethical implications of living with robots and human-robot interactions.

The module is designed to provide students with the necessary skills to evaluate correctly the direction of AI development and its future impacts on society and individuals. For more information, students can visit the HCAIM consortium’s homepage.
