Choose Data Wisdom!

The aim of the Choose Data Wisdom! training programme is to provide participants with the necessary starting point – knowledge and practical skills to start their careers in the field of data, for example in the role of data analyst, reporting specialist or data manager. Training also provides the ability to use data analytics to successfully perform other roles. 

Participant goals 

Learners who complete the programme will be able to: 

  • Understand the process of data analysis, the life cycle of data and the role in solving business problems
  • Based on a business problem, find the necessary data sources, aggregate, process and analyze data using appropriate methods and tools (e.g. SQL, Power BI, Python)
  • Be able to interpret and visualise data and present results to different audiences in an understandable way
  • Know the possibilities for automating data analytics processes and using artificial intelligence to enhance analytics
  • Know the principles and working methods of data management and data management
  • Know the legal framework of data, the ethical and legal foundations of the field, including data protection and compliance requirements
  • Be able to present themselves in a targeted way when looking for a job and to take informed steps when applying for a job

Prerequisites

  • Bachelor's degree or technical vocational education (level 5) 
  • At least two years' professional experience in positions requiring analytical thinking 
  • Tripod Analytical© test 
  • Good computer skills: ability to manage files, use different software formats, and navigate digital environments
  • Intermediate Excel proficiency: the use of formulas, the compilation of pivot tables, and the ability to first clean up data
  • Proficiency to least level B2 in Estonian and English
