CYBERWISER.eu Primer
CYBERWISER.eu Primer is an introductory course, offered through the CYBERWISER.eu initiative, funded through the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme, which targets employees and jobseekers with no prior understanding of cybersecurity. The Primer course is the first course of the larger CYBERWISER.eu upskilling programme, which offers a progressive learning path, from basic users to digital experts in the field.
Details of the course
During this course, users have the possibility to explore the main themes and concepts, which underpin cybersecurity technology, such as an introduction to cyber-risk analysis and easy-to-apply tips on detecting cyber scams. Students also explore topics related to 5 of the most common cyber-risks:
- Password weakness
- Phishing
- Data leakage
- Ransomware
- Insider threats
Upon successful completion of the course, learners understand how to explain basic concepts related to cybersecurity and cyber-risk assessment and have the opportunity to build further on their skills through the progressive modules offered by CYBERWISER.eu.

Learning Outcomes
Participants will:
- Understand, describe, and learn how to protect against five common cyber-risks: Phishing, Password Weaknesses, Ransomware, Data Leakage, and Insider Threat.
- Grasp the basic concepts related to cybersecurity and cyber-risk assessment, and understand the process of cyber-risk assessment.
