Innovative Digital Technologies for Health EIT Digital Summer School Programme
With the rise of the eHealth sector, new training needs for both industry and the academic sector are emerging as competences need to be developed to address technological and design challenges. This programme aims to offer participants with a comprehensive overview of the technological potential and challenges of ICT in the health sector. Alongside this, the programme will address design and business aspects as well as end-user needs, ethics, and adoption.
This 14 day programme is based on a team-building format including workshops and social events, lessons, case studies and visits to eHealth labs and eHealth adopters. The following content will be introduced to the participants:
- Advanced ICT for health: AI methods and tools for health data analysis.
- Software / hardware technologies for health: biosensors for mental/physical monitoring, X-Reality for surgery/motor and cognitive rehab.
- Surgical/Rehab/Assistive Robotics, Ecological telemonitoring and telemedicine; conversational tech and smart objects for speech therapy.
- User centred design/evaluation of e-health.
- Healthcare Innovation: Communication, Management & Entrepreneurship.
Speakers from the Politecnico di Milano and health centres and industry will deliver high quality lectures for the participants. A preliminary schedule is available for consultation.
Prerequisites
This EIT Digital Summer School programme is open to young professionals as well as Bachelor, Master of PhD students who are interested in emerging digital technologies and want to learn how to turn these technologies into business. As this programme focuses on business innovation and entrepreneurship, no technical background or previous coding knowledge is required to join this programme.
