Microcredential in science, technology and innovation policy and instruments - DigiAdvance

Science, Technology and Innovation Policy and Instruments is a DigiAdvance course developed by University of Aveiro. DigiAdvance aims to address digital skills gaps in the SME sector through the provision of low-cost, demand-driven, tailored training in key digital technologies for SME owners, managers and employees. This course is one of a number of flexible short-form courses offered by this project, which is co-funded by the EU.
Learning outcomes
- Provide students with analytical tools that allow them to understand the (current) role of science, technology and innovation in the development, progress and well-being of countries and their populations
- Understand the organization and functioning of scientific and technological systems, and their institutions, as areas of intervention of public policies
- Know the main challenges faced by scientific and technological institutions / knowledge-producing institutions
- Develop the capacity for critical reflection and analysis around the issues that arise in these areas, as well as public policies directed to these areas
- Foster the ability to intervene, in a work context, in the elaboration, implementation and evaluation of policies in the area of science, technology and innovation.
DigiAdvance courses aim to advance the knowledge and skills of SME leaders, managers, employees and job seekers in key digital technologies. This course assessment is Blended and at daytime or after work. Participants receive a certificate of achievement at the end of the course. At the moment, there are no active application phase.
