MSc in Digital Methods for the Humanities of the Athens University of Economics

The Faculty of Information Technology Sciences of the Athens University of Economics offers a Master’s Degree programme (MSc) in Digital Methods for the Humanities. The aim of the programme is to provide specialised postgraduate knowledge in the development and application of digital methods in the humanities.
Objective of the programme
The aim is to promote knowledge, develop an interdisciplinary approach and research, and prepare for productive and research participation in the interdisciplinary area that has begun to be established under the name "Digital Humanities". The programme is open to university graduates in either the humanities, social, political and legal sciences or the information sciences.
At the end of the programme, graduates can go on to work in research, production, documentation, curation, organisation and management of information resources and administration in projects and organisations with strong use of digital means and techniques in the fields of humanities, cultural heritage, tourism, communication, and technology companies.
Study programme
The MSc in Digital Methods for the Humanities is:
- A 12-month programme
- A 75 ECTS programme
- Taught in Greek and/or English
- Requires an undergraduate degree from an accredited University
- Costs €4,000
To complete the course, students must undertake courses totalling 60 ECTS credits (30 ECTS from compulsory courses and 30 ECTS from elective courses), as well as 15 ECTS from the masters' thesis. Discover the courses offered in the programme:
