Open Course on New Technologies in Special Education and Education

The University of the Aegean's MOOC platform offers online courses in various subjects as part of its Lifelong Learning initiative, approved by the university's Center for Training and Lifelong Learning (KEDIVIM). The primary aim is to enhance human capital through continuous education and unrestricted access to scientific knowledge, regardless of age, gender, employment status, or location.
What's in for you
The trainees will gain a comprehensive understanding of co-education (knowledge), develop the ability to identify and analyze its multifactorial and multimethodological aspects (skills), and cultivate a positive attitude towards embracing the co-education model (attitudes).
- Learn to use new technologies and educational software to create student-centered lessons for students with learning difficulties.
- Understand how new technologies can support inclusive education and integration, using digital activities for students with specific learning needs.
- Know how to use certified educational software within ICT for co-educating students with intellectual disabilities.
- Apply curricula focused on inclusive education for children with high-functioning autism
- Get familiar with how robotics and structured teaching methods can support inclusive education in a digitally structured classroom.
To attend this course there is no cognitive prerequisite for enrolment.
Course modules
Week 1: Applications of New Technologies (N.T.) and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in accession education
Week 2: Supporting Technology in EAE
Week 3: Digital Transformation: Educational Software in EAE
Week 4: Applications of Robotics in Special Education and Education: Applications of Robotics for Children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders
To obtain a Certificate, the course must be completed with a score of at least 60% on the final quiz.
The certificate of attendance will be issued FREE.
