Tech Time 2 Skill: Courses on cybersecurity and AI
Tech Time 2 Skill is a project aimed at developing digital talent in Europe and support the digital transformation of European SMEs in a sustainable way. Co-funded by the European Commission's European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA), the aim is to support the acquisition of AI and cybersecurity skills by SME staff and jobseekers. Concretely, the project will develop various training courses aimed equipping workers with digital skills in cybersecurity and AI.
Launched in January 2023 and running until January 2026, the project is being rolled out in three countries: France, Belgium, and Spain. The consortium is composed of 3 training organisations: Simplon.co in France, Becode in Belgium and Factoria F5 in Spain, as well as partner companies and trade associations.
Throughout the 3-year project, it is expected that 15,000 employees from 3,000 SMEs will participate in the trainings free of charge.

Training 1: Unlock the potential of AI
This one-day training course will help participants acquire knowledge to boost their company’s productivity. The course will be delivered to groups of 12-20 participants, targeted towards Directors, decision-makers and managers of small and medium-sized businesses in all sectors. The course is available in a hybrid format and no prerequisites are required.
The objectives of the course are to:
- Master the appropriate AI vocabulary
- Discover the main applications and use cases
- Identify the appropriate roles and solutions at each stage of a data / AI project
- Taking account of strategic, ethical and cultural issues when implementing an AI project
- Design an initial action plan for your SME
Training 2: Prototype AI solutions
Do you want to further develop your skills and boost the performance of your teams? This 5-day training course will give participants the knowledge and skills they need to develop AI solutions for their SMEs, helping them to build a prototype. The course will be delivered to groups of 12-20 participants, targeted towards Directors, decision-makers and managers of small and medium-sized businesses in all sectors. The course is available in a hybrid format and no prerequisites are required.
The training is structured as follows:
- Day 1: Introduction to AI
- Day 2: Hackathon (development and presentation of concepts)
- Day 3: Hackathon (development of prototypes)
- Day 4: Hackathon (improvement of prototypes)
- Day 5: Final presentations & closing ceremony
Training 3: Leading SMEs towards resilience in cybersecurity (1-day)
This one-day training course will help participants understand their cybersecurity obligations, identify major threats, develop appropriate responses and implement best practice and cybersecurity strategies. The target audience is: managers, decision-makers and employees of small and medium-sized companies in all sectors, in groups of 12 to 20 participants. The course is available in a hybrid format and no prerequisites are required.
Training 4: Leading SMEs towards resilience in cybersecurity (5-day)
This 5-day training course will help participants become an ambassador for cybersecurity within their SME, to put in place best practices, spread a culture of security, choose the most appropriate security solutions and talk to experts to meet your cybersecurity needs. The target audience is HR managers, directors, decision-makers and employees of small and medium-sized companies in all sectors, in groups of 12 to 20 participants. The course is freely available in a hybrid format and no prerequisites are required.

- Day 3: Equipment safety
- Day 4: Safety on social media and emails
- Day 5: Planning of continued activities
