Digital Education in the Spotlight: Czech National Coalition DigiKoalice shines at global Future Port Youth conference
On 13 November 2025, the Czech National Coalition for Digital Skills and Jobs, DigiKoalice, took part in the international Future Port Youth conference, which ran under the tagline: “because the world needs your version of the future”. This inspiring global event focusing on digital education brought together young thinkers, technology leaders, and visionaries from all over Europe, the US and Asia.
DigiKoalice: building a bridge of resources for the skills of the future
The Czech National Coalition wore many hats during the event - taking an active role as co-organiser, exhibitor and active promoter of the conference. The networks of NPI, DigiKoalice, Europass and other partners made it possible for teachers, students and experts in the education field of to take part in the conference. In total, 800 teachers, students, experts and representatives of innovative companies attended the conference in person, and another 2,000 attendees followed the online programme.
At the conference, DigiKoalice provided an NPI stand, where participants could draw a dose of digital inspiration, as part of its involvement in the "Champions 4 the Digital Decade" (C4DD) project. The stand featured resources for the development of digital skills and distributed dozens of promotional materials and website links. Greatest interest attracted ICT courses, the catalogue of AI for Schools, and the catalogue for cyber prevention.
Those visiting the stand also found practical posters on AI and cybersecurity for school classes, developed within the framework of the NPO 3.1 Digi project. Participants had an opportunity to test their digital knowledge and obtain a European certificate from the Europass project. Thanks to the TechWell project, they were also able to reflect on the topic of digital wellbeing. A distinctive interactive element was the robot, with which the Czech-American team The H.E.I.S.T. competed on a world level. Michal Pěchouček, the new CTU Rector, was thinking about using artificial intelligence in education – where its involvement is beneficial and where humans still have an irreplaceable place. JanRomportl outlined the impact of social networks on mental health and introduced the Elin.ai app. Finally, Victoria Deer offered a different perspective on technologies, which recalled the importance of human contact in the digital world.
The Future Port Youth Awards showcased once again how far student innovation can go, attracting more than 220 projects, from climate technology to health and space engineering. More information can be found in this press release and and in the videos from the event.
As we also want to actively involve the DigiKoalice community, we have donated tickets for this event to selected member schools. Students and teachers had the opportunity to connect theory with practice, conduct interviews with world leaders in technology and create a video report, reel or article from the event.“The students greatly praised the event. Thank you for the great opportunity” - said Dominik Fellner, Deputy Director for Educational Programme of VOŠ Publicistiky Higher vocational school of journalism).
