Creative Europe Programme CALL: Skills and talent development
 
The objective of the Skills and Talent Development support is to enhance the capacity of audiovisual professionals to adapt to new creative processes, market developments and digital technologies that affect the whole value chain. Particular focus will be put on supporting new creative processes, harnessing digital innovation in audiovisual production; uptake of digital tools for videogames production and distribution; enhancing IP rights exploitation and green transition.
Objectives:
- Strengthening the capacity of audiovisual professionals to adapt to changing creative processes, market trends and digital technologies that affect the entire value chain.
- Fostering innovative creative approaches such as interdisciplinary collaboration and storytelling that combine creative talent with digital expertise.
- Use of digital advances in audiovisual production (e.g. virtual production and post-production), distribution (marketing, promotion, audience engagement) and production and distribution of video games.
- Improving the management of intellectual property rights and supporting the green transition, promoting sustainable practices across the sector.
Activities to be financed:
- Fostering new creative approaches, including interdisciplinary collaboration and innovative storytelling that integrates different skill sets.
- Training in digital transformation to provide professionals with advanced digital tools and data analysis for storytelling, production (including virtual production and post-production), marketing, promotion, audience engagement and new ways of distribution and monetisation.
- Preparing for new market trends, e.g. by exploiting intellectual property rights through reprocessing, spin-offs, sequels and merchandising.
- Green transition initiatives include sustainability training and green advisors to promote environmentally friendly practices throughout the audiovisual value chain, as well as tools to measure CO2 emissions.
Expected results:
- Promote sustainable and green solutions in the audiovisual industry.
- Harness Europe's creative talent by supporting innovative and progressive creative processes.
- Support the digital transformation in the production and distribution of content across the audiovisual sector.
- Stimulate growth and investment by optimising the use of intellectual property across the EU and globally.
- To provide audiovisual and gaming professionals with a combination of creative and digital skills, thereby strengthening the competitiveness of European industry.
Eligibility criteria:
- Individual applicants (single beneficiaries) are allowed, as well as proposals submitted by a consortium of at least two applicants (beneficiaries; are not affiliated entities).
- Eligible activities are those listed in the ‘Activities eligible for funding’ section above.
- Projects must be in line with the EU's political interests and priorities.
- Applicants (beneficiaries and affiliated entities) must:- to be legal persons (public or private entities);
- to be established in one of the eligible countries.
 
Creative Europe countries:
- EU Member States (including Overseas Countries and Territories).
- Non-EU countries: EEA and Creative Europe associated countries listed or in the process of negotiating an association agreement, where the agreement will enter into force before the signature of the grant.
