Objectives:

  • Enhancing the ability of audiovisual professionals to adapt to changing creative processes, market trends, and digital technologies affecting the whole value chain.

  • Encouraging innovative creative approaches, such as cross-disciplinary collaboration and storytelling that combine creative talent with digital expertise.

  • Leveraging digital advancements in audiovisual production (e.g., virtual production and post-production), distribution (marketing, promotion, audience engagement), and video game production and distribution.

  • Improving IP rights management and supporting the green transition, promoting sustainable practices throughout the industry.

Activities to be funded:

  • Support for new creative approaches, including cross-disciplinary collaboration and innovative storytelling that integrates diverse skill sets.

  • Digital transformation training to provide professionals with advanced digital tools and data analytics for storytelling, production (including virtual production and post-production), marketing, promotion, audience engagement, and new modes of distribution and monetisation.

  • Preparing for new market trends by, e.g., capitalising on IP rights through remakes, spin-offs, sequels, and merchandising.

  • Green transition initiatives, including sustainability training and green consultants to encourage environmentally-friendly practices across the audiovisual value chain, alongside tools to measure CO2 emissions.

Expected results:

  • Promote sustainable and eco-friendly solutions within the audiovisual industry.

  • Harness Europe's creative talent by fostering innovative and forward-thinking creative processes.

  • Support the digital transition in content creation and distribution throughout the audiovisual sector.

  • Stimulate growth and investment by optimising IP exploitation across the EU and globally.

  • Provide audiovisual and gaming professionals with a blend of creative and digital skills, boosting the competitiveness of the European industry.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible activities are the ones mentioned above in “Activities that can be funded”.

  • Projects must comply with EU policy interests and priorities.

  • The applicants (beneficiaries and affiliated entities) must:

    • be legal entities (public or private bodies)

    • be established in one of the eligible countries, i.e.:

      • Creative Europe Participating Countries:

        • EU Member States (including overseas countries and territories (OCTs))

        • non-EU countries:

        • listed EEA countries and countries associated to the Creative Europe Programme or countries which are in ongoing negotiations for an association agreement and where the agreement enters into force before grant signature

  • Total Budget: up to 7 500 000 EUR
