NCC-SE Grants to SME:s for Cybersecurity Capacity Building
Sweden's National Coordination Centre for Cybersecurity Research and Innovation (NCC-SE), at the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB), seeks to fund cybersecurity projects in Sweden in 2024.
The call for proposals is open for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) seeking development grants for projects that can strengthen Sweden’s cybersecurity and preparedness capacities and infrastructure. Both suppliers and other relevant stakeholders can apply for the grant.
The expected duration of participation is 3 months. The projects that are scheduled to be implemented between January 1st 2025, and March 31st 2025.

Objectives
The funded projects are expected to make a difference in one of more of the following areas:
1.Strengthening cybersecurity knowledge and skills
Initiatives to improve cybersecurity awareness and develop safer digital behaviours among end-users through better knowledge. Types of projects that can be carried out in this area are skills development initiatives, exercises and efforts to increase the engagement among young people in cybersecurity.
2.Improve preparedness and management of cybersecurity-related risks
The development of management systems, processes, methods and the use of existing and new technologies to improve and strengthen preparedness in information security and cybersecurity.
3.Strengthen the ability to comply with EU regulatory requirements in cybersecurity.
Initiatives that aim to build the ability to meet new regulations and regulatory requirements based on EU regulation for increased cybersecurity. Examples of EU regulation referred to are the NIS2 Directive, the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), the Cyber Solidarity Act (CSoA), the Cybersecurity Act, the Digital Operational Resilience Regulation (DORA) and the AI Regulation.
Eligibility Criteria
·The call is exclusively open to small and medium enterprises (SMEs)
·The applicant shall be a judicial person who is registered at Bolagsverket in Sweden
·The applicant shall be established in Sweden and may not be controlled by owners outside of the EU/EES-area
·Only one application per applicant can be funded
Funding
·Total Budget: up to 2 000 000,00 EUR
·Amount per project: approximately 50 000 EUR (600 000 SEK)
·Number of funded project proposals: Up to 36

The deadline to submit applications is set to 13 November 2024 17:00, Brussels time.
