Phishing remains one of the most prevalent and effective cyber threats, with attackers sending approximately 3.4 billion phishing emails daily – contributing to 90% of corporate security breaches. This training course provides a detailed breakdown of phishing emails, equipping participants with the skills to distinguish between legitimate and malicious messages.

The course is developed as part of the CYRUS project, which aims to upskill companies in the manufacturing and transport sectors in the EU with sector-specific security skills and abilities. The project is funded by the DIGITAL Europe Programme of the European Union.

About this course

Through real-world examples, learners will examine key phishing indicators, such as sender addresses, subject lines, attachments, embedded links and brand impersonation tactics. Designed for employees, students, teachers, IT and security teams, this course ensures that individuals across various sectors can recognise and mitigate phishing risks.
