CYBERSKILLS training programme
The CYBERSKILLS training programme equips young people aged 18 to 30 with practical and industry-relevant cybersecurity skills, improving their employability and helping address the growing shortage of cybersecurity professionals in Europe. The training targets at least 300 participants, with a particular focus on young people from peripheral and underrepresented regions.
About the programme
The programme combines digital learning tools with hands-on practical experience. It is delivered through an innovative e-learning platform that includes an interactive cybersecurity serious game, allowing participants to develop their skills through realistic simulations and problem-solving scenarios. The curriculum is structured around key cybersecurity concepts, threat awareness, risk management and basic defensive practices aligned with current industry needs.
At the beginning of the programme, participants’ cybersecurity competences are assessed in order to adapt the learning pathway and ensure an appropriate level of instruction. The training combines online modules with in-person practical workshops, where learners apply the knowledge gained in real-world scenarios and collaborative exercises.
The programme also includes pilot testing and evaluation activities to measure learning outcomes and the impact on participants’ employability. After successfully completing the training, participants receive a recognised certification that validates the cybersecurity competences acquired during the programme and supports their transition into the labour market.
