EIMIN: Lithuania wins €65 million EU competition for the first artificial intelligence centre in the country
The Lithuanian Ministry of Economy and Innovation (EIMIN) announced that the Lithuanian Consortium has won €65 million in co-financing for a new centre dedicated to the development and application of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, LitAI. According to a 2025 study commissioned by the State Agency for Digital Solutions, the following eGovernment services were the most popular among the population: income tax declaration service, which accounted for 55% of all respondents, health-related services (information on the provision of services in different hospitals, registration with health professionals) 44%, car registration service 22%, personal documents (passports, identity cards, driving licences) service 20%, job search service 17%, birth and marriage certificates service 15% of all respondents. -
Winners announced for the Digital Carrier 2025 competition
On 19 June, the final event of the national contest “Digital Book Carrier 2025” took place in Vilnius, where the most advanced Lithuanian digital solutions creating value were announced.
